Not only is it the perfect gift , its a special way to support local food producers this holiday season and a great conversation piece about our soon-to-open Co-op.

Another great local gift idea….

CSACrateThere’s a new CSA in town, but instead of fruits and vegetables, this CSA is offering professionally-curated collections of original art by established local artists. Arts organization CoBALT Connects is bringing the popular buy-local model to Hamilton’s art scene, supporting 10 artists in the creation of new work, and providing an accessible way for art lovers to begin or expand collections. The three discipline-specific collections (Fine Craft, Photography and Illustration) are for sale now at a price of $350, but for friends, investors and members of the Mustard Seed Co-op, the collections are being offered at a $25 discount, with CoBALT Connects donating the remaining $25 back to the Mustard Seed Co-op.

A limited number of each collection is available, so buy now and pick up your new art at the last art crawl of the year on December 13th. To read more about the artists and the collections, and to purchase, visit: www.communitysupportedart.ca

  3. We received a gift bag and are enjoying the contents on a day to day basis. Gone quickly were the chocolate covered cherries. Made the muffins and although I froze half, all are gone. What a wonderful gift for Christmas this was and is.
Cathy Jeanes, Burlington. Good Luck with your store opening and future.
