It’s February – let’s share the love!

This month, we have some fun new ways to ‘share the love’ for local food, co-ops, and our community. Let’s feel good about what we eat, and invite others into the story of local food!

Here are a few fun ways you can participate in sharing the love this month:

1. Leave a note on our ‘Share the Love’ board!

We all shop at the Co-op for different reasons, so let’s share our love for the foods we eat. Post a thought bubble and realize the contribution you’re making to our local food culture. Everyone who participates is entered to win a free bottle Spirit Tree cider at the end of the month!

2. Celebrate Valentines Day with a local brunch!

Our special Valentine’s brunch shopping list and simple recipes will help you create mimosas, kale quiche, and a delicious beet salad. This menu is perfect for a fun date, or brunch with friends because it says “I love you” through food! Download the shopping list and recipes here!

3. Bring a friend!

We all know someone who would love The Mustard Seed, but just hasn’t made it in yet. So members, February is the perfect month to introduce them! Every Sunday in February is “Bring a Friend Day”. When a Co-op owner brings someone new to the store, they will receive 5x Co-op Credits on their purchase, and their guest will receive a free gift with theirs!

4. Share your picks!

This month we’ll be asking you what your favourite food items at the Co-op are. We want to make sure we’re meeting the everyday grocery needs of our owners and customers…so don’t be surprised if we ask you a few questions. This could also make you famous! Obliging customers will have their photo and favourite items featured on our ‘Share the Love’ profiles on Facebook and Twitter!
